Financials overview
The Financials page is where you work timesheets, expenses, adjustments and invoices across every contract in one place, rather than opening each contract one at a time. It brings the day-to-day money side of your placements together so you can review, approve and act on it in bulk.
Financials is organised into four list tabs:
- Timesheets
- Expenses
- Adjustments
- Invoices
How the page works
Each tab is a list page that uses the standard table tools: a saved-view selector, a star to mark a view as default, search, refresh, a columns control, an Add button, and bulk-select checkboxes for acting on several rows at once. If you are new to these tools, see Platform basics.
The four tabs
- Timesheets. Capture and review the hours candidates have worked, run them through approval, and hand them to payroll and invoicing. Typical columns include Ref No, Client, Site, Candidate, Payment Type, DE, Units Worked, Total Units, Timesheet Number and PO Number. See Timesheets.
- Expenses. Record candidate expenses with receipts, set who each is charged to, approve them where required, and route them into pay or onto the client invoice. See Expenses.
- Adjustments. Apply manual pay or charge amounts such as one-off bonuses, deductions and retrospective corrections. See Adjustments.
- Invoices. Generate, review and send client invoices built from the same approved data that drives payroll. See Invoices.
Where these records also appear
The same records are also visible on an individual contract's own tabs. The difference is scope: a contract shows only its own timesheets, expenses, adjustments and invoices, whereas the Financials page shows them across every contract. See Contracts overview.
Working on the Financials page and working on a contract act on the same underlying records. A timesheet you approve here is approved on its contract too.
How Financials feeds payroll
Once items are approved, payroll pulls the approved timesheets, expenses and adjustments into a pay run. Anything still pending approval is left out and rolls over to the next run. See Payroll overview.
