Reports overview
The Reports page is a catalogue of named reports, grouped into categories so you can find the right one quickly. You open a report, set its filters and run it to turn RecSphere data into answers.
How the page is laid out
Reports are presented as cards, gathered under category headings. Each card is a ready-made report with a clear name, such as Revenue by Consultant or Vacancy Fill Rate. Browse to the category you need, then pick the report that answers your question.
How to run a report
Running any report follows the same three steps:
- Open the report from its card.
- Set the filters, for example a consultant and a date range.
- Run it to produce the output for those filters.
You can change the filters and run the report again as often as you need.
Report categories
The reports are grouped into categories. The groups below, with a few example reports each, show the kind of insight available. Your workspace may add or hide reports depending on how it is set up.
- Financial Reports - Revenue by Consultant, Revenue by Branch, Revenue by Client, Revenue by Candidate, Gross Profit by Consultant, Gross Profit by Branch, Gross Profit by Client, Gross Profit by Candidate, Timesheet Summary, Aged Debt Summary, Umbrella Payroll Export.
- Performance Reports - Consultant Performance, Team Performance, Job Pipeline, Candidate Pipeline.
- Client Reports - New Client Acquisition, Client Activity Summary, Top Clients by Revenue, Client Retention.
- Placement Reports - Placement Summary, Permanent Placement Summary, Temporary Placement Summary.
- Contractor Reports - Active Contractors, Contractor End Dates, Contractor Timesheets Missing.
- Vacancy Reports - Vacancy Fill Rate, Vacancy Aging, Vacancy Source Analysis.
- Candidate Reports, Compliance Reports and Custom Reports are further groups on the page.
Custom Reports is one of the groups in the catalogue. See Creating reports to build a report against your own filters and groupings.
Reports and the Dashboard are separate
The Reports page is for running named reports. The customisable Dashboard is a separate page that shows live, at-a-glance KPIs such as open vacancies or placements this week. Use the Dashboard for the figures you check every day, and the Reports page when you need a specific report you can filter and run. See Dashboards.
Permissions and visibility
Reports never bypass your access rules. If you cannot see a candidate or client in the main app, that record will not appear in your reports either. Admins can still report across the whole workspace, but each viewer sees only the rows they are allowed to see.
