Candidate matching and shortlisting

The Matched & Shortlist tab shows vacancy matches for a candidate and the shortlists the candidate is already on.

Open Matched & Shortlist

  1. Open Candidates.
  2. Open the candidate record.
  3. Select Matched & Shortlist.

Candidate Match List

The Candidate Match List can show:

  • % Match
  • Vacancy Ref No
  • Role
  • Location
  • Speciality
  • Grade
  • Distance
  • Desired Pay
  • Base Rate
  • Pay Rate
  • Margin
  • Charge Rate
  • Potential GM
  • Compliance %
  • Start Date
  • Actions

Use this list to review which vacancies may suit the candidate.

The match score can take into account several parts of the candidate profile, including availability, location, grade, speciality, sub-speciality, desired pay and compliance information where configured. Review the supporting fields before adding the candidate to a shortlist.

If a vacancy appears because of secondary experience or an additional speciality, confirm the candidate is genuinely suitable before progressing them.

Use advanced filters on candidate lists when you need to search by several conditions, such as grade plus speciality plus exclusions. Save advanced filters from the filter area. Saved list views control columns and sorting; they do not save filter logic by themselves.

Shortlist table

The Shortlist table can show:

  • Ref No
  • Employment Type
  • Perm Fee %
  • Perm Fee
  • Status
  • Accepted Date

Use this table to see which roles the candidate has already been put forward for.

Add to shortlist

Use Add to open the Add to Shortlist flow for this candidate.

Fields can include:

  • Select Vacancy
  • Payment Type

Review the vacancy and payment type before adding the candidate. This creates one shortlist record for this candidate and the selected vacancy.

Adding a candidate to a shortlist creates the candidate-vacancy workspace where rates, interviews, compliance, schedule, expenses and booking decisions are managed.

Candidate profile and ideal role

Candidate matching depends on the quality of information held on the candidate profile.

Useful matching information can include:

  • grade and speciality
  • sub-speciality
  • years of experience
  • preferred employment type
  • desired pay or rate
  • availability
  • location and travel radius
  • sector preference
  • skills and qualifications
  • compliance progress

Review the candidate's summary and job details before relying on match results.
