List views, filters and tabs
RecSphere list screens include tools for filtering data, saving column layouts and managing open records.
Quick filters and advanced filters
Quick filters are useful for simple searches.
Advanced filters are used for more complex searches. They can include multiple conditions, operators and grouped logic. For example, you can build filters that include or exclude specific grades, specialities or other candidate fields.
When using filters:
- use quick filters for simple, temporary searches
- use advanced filters for multi-condition searches
- add conditions for each field you want to filter by
- use groups when you need AND/OR logic across several conditions
- use operators such as includes, excludes, any of or is any of where available
- use Apply Filter to apply the current filter
- use Reset if you need to clear the filter builder
- save advanced filters from the filter area
- remember that advanced filters and quick filters may not both apply at the same time
- check grouped conditions carefully because grouped logic controls how the filter is evaluated
Views are not filters
Saved views control the layout of a list, such as visible columns, column order and default sorting.
Saved views do not filter the data by themselves. If you need the list to show a specific subset of records, save or apply a filter as well as the view.
Use the column manager to add, remove and reorder columns. After changing columns, save the view if you want to keep the layout, or discard the change if it was only temporary.
Pinned or default views open automatically when you return to that list screen.
Open tabs
Records open in tabs across the top of the workspace.
If you work with several records at once, you can use tab controls to:
- pin important tabs
- close the current tab
- close other tabs
- close all unpinned tabs
- reopen a recently closed tab where the reopen option is still available
Pinned tabs stay open when you close all other tabs.
Help and support
Use Help & Support when you need product guidance or want to log an issue or feature request.
Where the support ticketing workflow is enabled, you can add details such as the area of the system, priority and a screenshot. Responses may appear in RecSphere and by email, depending on your notification settings.
The support area may show open and closed tickets. Use New Ticket when you need to raise a fresh issue or feature request. Keep related updates on the existing ticket so the conversation stays together.
